From the Principal’s Desk – 8 March
Dear TBA Family,
Firstly, I am thrilled to announce that it’s officially just two weeks until the end of term! It’s been a busy but incredibly rewarding term, filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for our students. Let me take a moment to share some exciting updates with you all.
Today, our Checkpoint 2 students are embarking on a delightful excursion to a cheese farm. They’re sure to have a day filled with cheesy selfies and unforgettable memories, creating bonds that will last a lifetime. May our Checkpoint 2 & 3 students return with arms full of cheese and talk about a ‘gouda’ time at the farm!
We also want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our French students who participated in the semi-finals of the Épelle-moi French spelling bee this week. We were thrilled to be part of this event and are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements.
Looking ahead to next week, we have Entrepreneurs Day on Friday, and the anticipation is palpable! We’ve planned a day packed with fun and excitement, where our students will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. I am also delighted to share that we have partnered with Africa Padel Brooklyn, and starting next week, we will be introducing Padel as a new and exciting activity for our students in CP 2 & 3. We believe this will add a new dimension to our extracurricular offerings and provide our students with valuable opportunities for growth and development. We’re absolutely thrilled to launch the TBA mountain biking team, and we’re calling all students who love to cycle to join us for some epic Saturday trail rides. Parents, you’re invited too! Families who share our passion for cycling, please join us! Let’s hit the trails together and make some unforgettable memories. If your child has a mountain bike and enjoys hitting the trails, encourage them to join in on the fun. It’s bound to be an absolute blast!
Finally, with only one more week of assessments to go, we’re almost done, and then a well-deserved Easter break lies ahead. As parents, we know you’re eagerly anticipating the upcoming reports. We will be issuing them on the 20th of March, and we’ll be sure to provide more details closer to the time.
I want to wish each and every one of you a fantastic weekend spent with your families and loved ones. Your continued support and involvement is truly appreciated, and I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. Here’s to many more exciting adventures ahead!
Warm Regards,
Ivan Knoetze
