The British Academy achieves top Cambridge rating

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the world’s largest provider of international secondary school qualifications, recently commended The British Academy for meeting the rigorous requirements of its Compliance Unit, scoring “Completely Satisfactory”.

In a letter addressed to Niel Bester, the CEO of British Academy Holdings, a CIE Compliance Advisor Christopher Le Mottee-Hill said that “This rating was awarded as your security arrangements and conduct of examinations, as observed by our inspector during their visit, fully complied with CIE Regulations,”.

Niel Bester says that the commendation by Cambridge comes on the back of the high standards the TBA sets for its examinations officers.

“People have confidence in TBA’s handling of examinations because we do everything by the book and we follow all procedures correctly,” he says.

Marilis Pieters, The British Academy’s Principal, attributes the commendation from Cambridge to a strong work ethic from its staff.

“The TBA team is self-motivated and driven to make sure that our clients are always happy,” she says.

Marilis goes on to say that the College adheres to strict security protocols to ensure that the administration of exams is transparent, secure and efficient.

CIE falls under the prestigious University of Cambridge and has worked in partnership with ministries of education, qualifications authorities and examination boards around the world for over 150 years.

TBA College is an accredited Cambridge International School offering exams registration at its Brooklyn Campus in Pretoria.
