Benefits for your child

Cambridge Lower Secondary builds on primary education and prepares learners for Cambridge Upper Secondary and Advanced programmes. It is flexible, internationally relevant, and suitable for learners with English as a first or second language.

Teachers track progress through built-in checks and short tests that highlight strengths and areas for support. Tests can be marked by Cambridge in the final year, with learners receiving a statement of achievement and detailed feedback to guide future academic pathways beyond age 14.

The curriculum and assessments

Insightful assessment and global benchmarking with Cambridge Checkpoint

Cambridge Checkpoint tests are designed to assess learning at the end of Cambridge Secondary 1.

Available in English, mathematics, and science, these tests provide valuable feedback on each learner’s strengths and areas for improvement before they move on to the next stage of their education.

Marked in Cambridge, the tests offer schools an external international benchmark of performance.

Each learner receives a statement of achievement and a detailed diagnostic feedback report, giving schools clear insights to support future learning and giving parents greater confidence in the results.
