Assessment takes place at the end of the course and includes written, oral, coursework, and practical components, with options suited to different ability levels. Graded from A* to G, Cambridge IGCSE provides a strong foundation for further education, such as Cambridge International AS & A Levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Cambridge Pre-U, and other post-16 routes.

Worldwide opportunities
A Cambridge IGCSE qualification is recognised by top universities and employers worldwide as a mark of academic achievement. In the UK, it is considered equivalent to the GCSE, and a grade C or above in English as a Second Language is accepted by many universities as proof of English proficiency.
Globally, many universities require a mix of Cambridge IGCSEs and A Levels for admission. While most US and Canadian universities prefer AS & A Levels, some will accept students with five IGCSEs at grade C or higher.
