Dr Farrands Drive Quality in Sri Lanka

New for 2019 is The British Academy’s own Cambridge Personal Development Programme (PDQ) Centre.

This is a truly distinctive achievement recognizing TBA’s commitment to the highest quality teaching and

continuous development of our teaching staff.

After months of training and development of our programme Dr Farrands submitted our application resulting

in TBA becoming one of a handful Cambridge PDQ centres on the African continent.

The net result is that a number of our own teachers will, in addition to their current degrees, start an intensive

International Cambridge-specific teaching diploma.  This practical, hands-on development programme is

specifically designed to help teachers excel at delivering IGCSE’s and A Level’s at the very highest levels.

Currently Dr Farrands is attending the first ever PDQ Teacher Training Conference in Sri Lanka.

We wish him well and look forward to see the real benefits trickle through to all our learners in 2019.

A final note: the newly redesigned 2019 Academic Programme incorporate many of the advanced features

of the PDQ programme.
